The student leader applies knowledge of proper tone, formatting, and the appropriate use of business or friendly email Evidence: With being Senior Class Treasurer making sure we have fundraisers is key for our success. I was trying to get our first fundraiser up and running. The senior class talked about how it would be nice to have Menchies on our campus during a game. Even though the Menchies fundraiser didn't work out I still sent an email ask to set up a meeting with our principal. Semester 2: The student leader anticipates possible interview questions and rehearses potential responses. Evidence: I participated in the mock interview opportunity the career center had in the beginning of February 2023. I knew I wanted to practice for an interview that was coming up at Simpson University to potentially get a scholarship for my next four years at college. I can happily say that the practice paid off and I ended up getting the scholarship:) I added the emails being sent between me and Mrs. Jen and the pictures of me after my interview at Simpson. Personal and Social Development
This year so far I have worked really hard to try and get out of my comfort zone and be involved. A couple of the things I have done so far are be a MC for the back to school rally, leading the neon dog pound, running the flag at the games, and during leadership development day I really got out of my comfort zone and talked to random people who seemed like they didn’t want to be there and got them to be excited. I haven’t done or gotten the opportunity to do any of these things so I’m really glad I got to try new things!

Evidence: This year I completed my Ag/Sci Senior project. My project was about bringing bags with toys and other items to children with brain tumors. I had a lengthy research paper I had to write my junior year as well. This project means so much to me and being able to bring kids joy was the best feeling.
I went and painted curbs for I love manteca. I met lots of people from different churches all coming together to help the community in any way possible.

GovernmentStandard 1: Effective meetings
The student leader utilizes inclusive meeting strategies for brainstorming, prioritizing, and project planning. Evidence: I have been effectively participating in meetings and writing down ideas that we could have for fundraisers. I went around the table asking everyone if a drive in movie would be a good idea or if we should do something else. I calculated all the expenses we would have to make and how much money we would have left. Semester 2: The student leader acknowledges the relationship of power and authority between the student body organization, school staff, school district governing board, and state legislature. Evidence: I went to the state capitol as a senior field trip with the Ag/Sci kids |
Business & FinanceSemester 1: advertising
The student leader makes sure each advertisement contains all necessary information for the product or event. Evidence: I organized and put together the class of 2023's Dynamic Nutrition fundraiser. I created a post for our president to post on our account to spread the word. The fundraiser went really well and lots of people bought the Tracy High drink. Semester 2: student leader evaluates past budgetary practices and collaborates on creating a working budget for the current term. Evidence: We had to budget everything for the rest of the year. We luckily had enough money to do a mural and have taqueria cater for beach day. |
